How To Use Our Pure Earthworm Castings

A GOOD GUIDELINE IS: USE ONE CUP PER PLANT EVERY TWO MONTHS

Vegetables and annuals:
Line the insides of seed rows and
planting holes with 1-2 inches of castings.
Sow seeds or transplant seedlings
and cover with soil.
Side dress during the growing season
using one-half cup per plant every
two months.

Perennials and shrubs:
Spring, summer, and fall, work a cup of
castings into the soil just above the roots
and water in.

Casting Tea:
Mix one part castings in three parts water
and let it soak for 12-24 hours.
Stir well and you are ready to fertilize.

Established roses:
Four cups of castings per bush, mixed into
the top 2-3 inches of soil or
top dressed and watered in.

Inside:

Top dress existing houseplants with half
an inch of castings approximately
every three months.

For repotting or indoor seed starting,
add to potting soil or seed starting
mix at a 3:1 soil-to-castings ratio.

Outside:

New lawns:
Ten pounds of castings per hundred
square feet of lawn.
Work into the top two inches of topsoil,
then seed and water well.

Established lawns:
Mow grass, then top dress by
broadcasting seven to ten pounds per
hundred square feet and water in.
One application per summer is adequate.
